The Tongue of the Egyptians-NYC Tour Alert!
Have you ever wondered what the Egyptian tongue sounded like? Anthropologists and the like have said that the language is completely lost but is it really when the peoples still exist?
Tomorrow (Saturday, April 27th) at my favorite New York museum, the Museum of Modern Art (MET), historians Anika and Jabari Osaze from the Center for the Restoration of Ma'at, will be conducting a tour, an amazing teaching experience, showing you how to translate the ancient Egyptian/Kemetic language.
This tour will focus on:
* The history of the language
* Royal titulary
* Formulaic texts
* Original terms and their Greek misnomers
Did you know that the language is called the Medu Neter? And what does that mean? Come out and find out!
See below for details on this special educational tour. I will most definitely be there!
